2008 • 14+
King Daemusin, Mu Hyul of Goguryeo, is the grandson of Ju Mong and the son of Yu Ri. He was born with a prophecy to have a fate where he would 'kill his siblings, parents, and offspring, leading to the downfall of the nation.' The nobles use this prophecy as a means to weaken the king's authority. King Yu Ri is forced to declare that he would sacrifice the prince, but he secretly spares his son to live a normal life. Mu Hyul, unaware of his lineage and birthright, grows up as a muralist in a cave where Ju Mong's tomb was located. Mu Hyul mistakenly believes that King Yu Ri killed Crown Prince Hae Myeong, so he plans to kill King Yu Ri to avenge the crown prince's death. After facing many challenges along the way, Mu Hyul reclaims his position as a prince and proves his capabilities by leading the nation to victory in war, ultimately overcoming his ill-fated destiny despite the pressures from the nobles.
