What is ODK PLUS?

I want to watch OnDemandKorea on a Smart TV.

Unfortunately we do not officially offer Smart TV integration at the moment.
Currently, the only way to watch OnDemandKorea on a Smart TV is through the TV's web browser. However, Smart TV web browsers are developed and provided by TV manufacturers and oftentimes are much slower than a PC browser.

In the meantime, please use your computer or the OnDemandKorea app to access our content.

How can I request content I want to watch?

At OnDemandKorea, we strive to deliver the best streaming service through legal channels. While we try our best to obtain as many programs as possible to ensure our customers' complete satisfaction, we are at times unable to obtain the necessary license from original content providers.

As an ODK PLUS member, I was charged twice this month.

If you were charged twice in one month, you might have created 2 separate accounts and registered for PLUS memberships with both of them.

1. The email address you registered with
2. The last 4 digits of the card you used for payment and the dates on which you were charged
3. Your full name

I would like to change the payment information for my ODK PLUS membership.

Why was my payment declined?

I would like to Log In with my E-mail address instead of my Facebook account.

If you created your OnDemandKorea account using a Facebook account, you are unable to Log In using your email address.
Please cancel your current account (Facebook Log In) and create a new account using the email address of your choice.

*If you are an ODK PLUS member, your current account will expire 30 days after your last transaction date. Please use your current Facebook Log In method until your ODK PLUS membership expires.

How do I delete my OnDemandKorea account?

If you would like to permanently delete your account,

1. After logging in, click on Account in the upper right corner.
2. Click on Delete Your Account located on the left side of your screen under Newsletter Preferences.

*Please be aware, you won't be able to re-create an account with the same email address you deleted.
*If you are an ODK PLUS Member, you have to first cancel your PLUS membership and let it expire in order to delete your account. Once canceled, your PLUS membership will expire 30 days after the last transaction date.

How do I use a Coupon for OnDemandKorea?

Occasionally, we provide ODK PLUS coupons through special events and promotions.
If you have a coupon in your possession and would like to use it,

I'm an ODK PLUS member but I'm seeing ads. How can I watch OnDemandKorea ad-free on Roku?

In order to watch OnDemandKorea ad-free on a Roku device with your ODK PLUS membership,
you have to install the OnDemandKorea PLUS Private Channel on your Roku device.

1. Click on the link below
Add ODK Private Channel to Roku

2. On the next page, sign in with your Roku account linked to your Roku device. 3. When you see the Warning page notifying you that you're installing a Private channel, click on OK. 4. On the next screen, click Yes, add channel to add the OnDemandKorea PLUS channel to your Roku device. 5. The OnDemandKorea PLUS channel has now been added to your device.
Please go into Settings > System > System Update > Check Now on your Roku device to refresh your channel lineup and add our channel to your device.

6. You should now see the OnDemandKorea PLUS channel on your Roku device.
Open our app and Log In with your ODK PLUS account to watch ad-free now.

How do I change the language on the OnDemandKorea Roku channel?

OnDemandKorea's Roku channel can be used in either English or Korean.

1. In the main screen of our Roku channel, please click on the Up Arrow (^) on your remote and click on Settings. 2. In the next screen, click on Language and choose the language you would like to use.
You will have to restart the OnDemandKorea channel on your device to apply the changes.

How do I turn on subtitles on the OnDemandKorea Roku channel?

1. Please make sure the program you're trying to watch is labeled with en signifying it has English subtitles.
Each episode has to have the en label in order to see subtitles. 2. In the video screen, click on the CC located in the lower right of your screen to turn on Subtitles.

I am using the OnDemandKorea App on an Android device but I'm having issues.

2. Press Apps and then click on Application Manager
3. In your Application Manager, find the OnDemandKorea App.
4. Click Force Stop in our app.
5. Then go to Storage in our app and press Clear Cache

I can see the video but I'm not getting any sound.

If you can't hear any sound from the video, please check the following instructions:

1. Please check if the video player has been muted. If you click on the Speaker symbol in the bottom left of the video player, you can adjust the volume by moving it up with your mouse or by clicking the up arrow (⬆︎) on your keyboard.
2. Please check if the volume on your Windows or Mac OS has been muted. You can adjust the system volume by clicking on the Speaker symbol located on the bottom right of your screen.
3. Please check if your speakers or headphones have been muted. You can physically adjust the volume of your speakers or headphones on the device itself.
4. If you are watching our content on a Smartphone or Tablet, please adjust the volume of the device itself.

This seems to be a temporary issue with Google Chrome.

3. Scroll down to the bottom of your screen and click on Advanced
4. Scroll down to the System section and turn off Use hardware acceleration when available

How do I turn on subtitles for videos?

We have English subtitles for some of our dramas & shows and these are marked with en below the posters on the website and next to the titles on the app. Once you click a video with 'en' on it, you can find the subtitle menu by clicking on the CC button located on the bottom right of the video player. In the OnDemandKorea app, please select a program that's labeled with our subtitle symbol (EN, KO). Click on the subtitle toggle button located in the lower right portion of the video player to enable subtitles.
(Episodes containing English subtitles are labeled ""EN") *Please note that some episodes of a subtitled show may be missing subtitles.

How come you don't have subtitles for all your programs?

How do I watch a Pay-Per-View movie? Do ODK PLUS members get to watch Pay-Per-View movies for free?

If you would like to rent a Pay-Per-View movie
1. Click on Pay-Per-View at the top of our website.
2. Click on the movie you would like to watch.
3. Our Pay-Per-View movies range from US$1.99 to US$4.99. Click on Rent and input your payment information.

*Once you rent a movie, you can watch it as many times as you would like for a 48 hour period on your computer, smartphone, tablet, or Apple TV.
After the 48 hour period passes, you can no longer access the movie.

*Even if you are an ODK PLUS member, you have to pay for each Pay-Per-View movie individually.

How to use Chromecast with a Smartphone or Tablet to watch OnDemandKorea on TV

You can use Chromecast to connect your mobile device to your TV.

1. Plug Chromecast into your TV.
2. Make sure that your mobile device and Chromecast are both on the same WiFi network.
3. From the OnDemandKorea app, click on the Cast logo located in the upper right corner of your screen to cast to your TV.

How to use Chromecast with a Computer to watch OnDemandKorea on TV

You will have to use Google Chrome in order to cast your computer to a TV.

1. Plug Chromecast into your TV
2. Make sure that your computer and Chromecast are both on the same WiFi network.
3. Look at the upper right corner of your Chrome browser to find Three dots.
4. Click on the three dots and click Cast to cast to your TV.

Can I adjust the resolution of the video?

You can adjust the video resolution on your computer.
Please click on the Settings to adjust the video resolution. You CANNOT adjust the video resolution on the OnDemandKorea app.
On the app, videos are played in the highest resolution possible, depending on the speed of your internet connection.

*Safari does not allow users to change the video resolution. If you are experiencing issues while using Safari, please try using a different web browser.
