The Imperial Age

The story follows Zhu Yuan Zhang's fourth son, Zhu Di, who became the third Emperor of the Ming Dynasty after defeating political rivals. Yuan Zhang arranges his son's marriage to a daughter of a political ally, but Zhu Di refuses and goes to war. After surviving battle after battle, he became a respected leader who protected the Dynasty's northern border. But when his father dies, he gets involved in the struggle for power and survival between other heirs.
